Map Clustering and Dot Colors Overview

Overview of Dot Colors on the Map

On our platform’s map, the clustering icons (dots) are color-coded based on violation status.

Color Coding Explained:

  • Green: Green points represent no zone violations. The number of individual points is shown in the cluster, and when zoomed in the individual points will appear on the map. When viewing the map in Standard View, the green points are displayed as a dark green. When viewing the map in Satellite View, the green is displayed much brighter, or neon. This is to help better identify points over darker satellite areas.
  • Red: Red points represent a zone violation. The number of individual points is shown in the cluster, and when zoomed in the individual points will appear on the map.
  • Purple: Purple points indicate an LBS location. LBS is obtained when GPS and WiFi are not available.
  • Bright Cyan: Bright Cyan points indicate Victim location points. These points are only generated in the event of an enrollee/victim proximity breach violation.
  • Yellow: Yellow points represent the most currently obtained point when Pursuit Mode is enabled. The most current point is displayed in yellow for easy identification, while previously obtained points will populate in green.
Clustering improves map viewing by grouping location points, making it easier to interpret. It also helps determine the duration an enrollee spent in a specific area. By analyzing the frequency of device location data, you can calculate the time spent in that area. (Ex. If the enrollee's device location frequency is set to 5 minutes, and the cluster contains 24 points, it can be determined that the enrollee was at that location for 120 minutes or 2 hours.)

Also, clusters on the map can be clicked to reveal a zoomed-in view, displaying all individual points within that cluster.
