Locations Map

Locations Map

The Locations Map within the enrollee's history tab will show location points within a specified time frame. These time frames can be filtered using the dropdown menus for Date Range and Location Type. Several new features have been added to the Locations Map for more intuitive viewing.

Locations Map

To view and utilize the Locations Map and its features, navigate to the enrollee's profile you wish to view. The default map view is set to satellite, but the roadmap view can be displayed by selecting "Map" button at the top left of the map. The following features are available when viewing the Locations Map.

Timeline

When selecting "Today", "Yesterday", "This Week" or "Custom" within the date range dropdown, a Timeline appears at the top of the map. All location data within the selected date range will appear both on the map, and the list of locations to the right of the map.
  1. The Timeline can be configured to show a desired window of time by sliding the icons within the Timeline. (Maximum 6 hour window)
  2. Alarms triggered during the specified time frame will appear in red on the Timeline.
  3. When clicking on a location point within the map, all information related to the location point is displayed in a window at the bottom of the map. By selecting the "Eye" icon to the bottom right, a window will pop up displaying the following location information:
    1. Date/Time
    2. Address
    3. Battery
    4. Accuracy
    5. Enrollee Time
    6. Lat/Lon
    7. Charging Status
  4. Selecting "Show All" in the Locations List to the right of the map will populate all points within the specified time frame. Both individual points and cluster points can be seen. When clicking on a cluster point, the map will display all individual points within that cluster. To better understand Map Clustering, refer to the article here.

Playback Feature

The Playback Feature within the Locations Map has enhanced controls for Start/Stop, Plotting Speed, and Auto-Centering.
  1. Playback Speed offers a dropdown with preconfigured speed settings to choose from, ranging from x1 to x8.
  2. Center is defaulted to yes, but can be turned off. When this is enabled, the map will continue to auto-center during Playback, keeping the location points centered and eliminating the need to drag the map.
  3. When viewing the Playback feature, the Pause and Reset options become available.

Location Point Clustering

Our Map Clustering has been improved to only cluster points that are in very close proximity to one another.
  1. Clustering is triggered once 10 location points have been obtained in close proximity to one another.
  2. All Violation points will display individually and will not cluster, providing a clear breadcrumb trail of all violation points.
  3. When clicking on a cluster within the app, all individual points will plot on the map.
  4. Zooming in on a cluster point will also populate individual points.
The locations map can be expanded by selecting the arrow to the right of the map labeled "Hide Filters and Data". The Locations List and Date Range filters will disappear, and the Locations Map will expand in their place. The map can be retracted by selecting the arrow again, returning it to its normal size, and repopulating the Locations List.
