Reviewing Tracking Data for Hardware

Reviewing Tracking Data for Hardware

Reviewing Tracking History

In order to review tracking data for a specific enrollee:
  1. Search for the Enrollee by Name
  2. Go to the Locations > History tab
  3. The location history tab shows "Today" by default for hardware showing the last 20 location points obtained "today", and last 5 location points for the EnrolleeApp. You can change this by using the filter. Location data is retrieved in 1,500 point batches, allowing the user to view location data over multiple days.
  4. Each location point displays the following depending on whether it was a WIFI, GPS, or LBS point
    1. Time/date location point obtained
    2. WIFI Accuracy - Indicates where the enrollee was, within meters of the area where they were located
      1. 1-10 = High Accuracy Location
        10-100 = Medium Accuracy Location
        100+ = Low Accuracy Location
        1. A "Google Unable to Locate" result for a WIFI point means the device was unable to detect at least three MAC addresses in the area. The device cannot plot a location when it does not have enough MAC addresses to confirm the location. This is normal behavior for the hardware.
    3. GPS Speed - Measures how quickly the enrollee is moving in MPH (This is only displayed for the ShadowCuff)
    4. GPS Num Sat - Number of satellites used to obtain GPS location point
      1. The more satellites the more accurate the location point is however, GPS points are considered drift points
    5. Battery Level of the device
    6. Charging status - indicates if the device was being charged or not when the location point was obtained
    7. Signal Strength - Indicates the WIFI signal strength on the device.
      1. Signal strength on the watches ranges from 15 - 149. A number closer to 15 indicates good signal strength.
    8. Zone Status - Indicates if the enrollee was inside or outside of their designated zone when the location was obtained
    9. Address Button - This button will take you to Google maps to view the location and the address

The colors of the location point clusters represent violation status. If the cluster is green, there is no zone violations. If the cluster is red, a zone violation occurred. LBS points are indicated in Purple.
If there are delayed locations or a Device Com Timeout, we will process the locations when we receive them and create a violation if there is one.  This can result in the alarm creation date and the occurred on date to be different.

Filtering Location Data and Map Features

  1. Use the Date Range field on this page to filter by a specific date range.
  2. Use the Location Type dropdown to filter locations by GPS, WiFi, LBS, Google Unable to Locate, or Mobile.
  3. All location points within the specified timeframe will automatically populate on the map.
  4. When a location point is selected on the map, its corresponding information is highlighted in the locations list. This functionality also applies when using the map's playback feature.
  5. A timeline at the top of the location's map can be adjusted using the sliders to specify a time frame. A "green" bar indicates no zone violations, while a "red" section of the timeline indicates a zone violation. Hovering your mouse over the violation section of the timeline will provide details on the zone violation, such as beginning and end time, as well as "Outside Inclusion Zone" or "Enter Exclusion Zone".
  6. Use the Playback Locations button to view a playback of each location within the specified date frame. The speed can be configured to go faster or slower when plotting location points with speeds ranging from x1 to x8, and the playback can be paused and reset back to the beginning.
  7.  The Map and Satellite views can be accessed from the button located in the upper right-hand corner of the map.
  8. The Street View can be utilized by clicking on the yellow man located in the lower right-hand corner of the map. Drag the man on top of the street you would like to view.
  9. Use the Full Screen view by selecting the square icon in the upper right-hand corner of the map.

Exporting Location Data

  1. Select the "Export" button located right under the Date Range field
  2. You have the option to export All Locations or locations within a Specified Date Frame
  3. The data will be exported to an Excel spreadsheet
    1. You can export a PDF report if the data is less than 500 points

Viewing Location Data for Multiple Enrollees

The Map on the enrollees tab displays the last obtained location for the enrollees you have access to
  1. Go to the Enrollees Tab from the main navigational menu
  2. Select the Map sub-tab
  3. Here, you will have the option to filter by Assigned Enrollees or All Active Enrollees

To view location points from the time an alarm was active, navigate to the Alarms tab and click the Event Timeline (bar graph icon). This will display the enrollee’s locations during the active alarm.
