Facial Liveness

The Facial Liveness feature adds an extra layer of security when confirming live presence during facial verifications. Facial Liveness works by analyzing a short video that detects movement, spoofing, printed and digital images, masks, and deep fake images. This feature can be turned on for individual enrollees in the enrollee's settings. 

Enabling "Facial Liveness"

Navigate to the enrollee profile and select the "Services" tab

1. Select the "Settings" > "Edit" 
   
1. Within the "General Settings" section, select "Facial Liveness" to "Yes"
   

When the verification is initiated from the push notification, a screen will display showing the enrollee in the front-facing camera. A button labeled "Start Recording" is displayed at the bottom of the enrollee's phone screen. When the recording begins, a facial oval is shown with a bar above the oval. The app will instruct the enrollee to center their face and slowly move closer into the frame until the bar is completely filled. Once the bar has been filled, the recording is complete and sent to the enrollee's Compliance Tab within the enrollee profile. 

Images displayed using this solution will appear much closer than other facial verification images. This is because the camera captures the enrollee's image when the phone is being brought towards the face.
