Receiving and Completing a Facial Verification Alert
How to Complete a Facial Verification Alert
Your officer may require you to perform Facial Verification alerts. When you receive the notification to complete the Facial Verification, follow the steps below.
Receiving the Alert
Notification: You will receive a push notification in the EnrolleeAPP for the Facial Verification alert accompanied by a loud noise.
Note: The alert may sound different if your mobile device is connected to electronics via Bluetooth.
Responding to the Alert
Quiet Environment: Ensure you are in a quiet area. Background noise from electronics, music, or people talking can interfere with verification.
Open the Notification:
- Tap on the notification.
- You can select the bell icon in the app.
Start Recording:
- The camera on your device will open.
- Align your face with the oval on the screen. If the oval is displaying red, adjust the phone closer or further until your full face is within the oval and the oval turns green.
- The photo will be automatically captured when the alignment is detected.
Photo Requirements:
- Have a natural facial expression or smile with both eyes open.
- Ensure you are fully clothed.
- Do not wear sunglasses, a hat, a head covering, headphones, wireless hands-free devices, or face masks.
- Be in a well-lit room.
Completion: Upon completing the Facial Recognition, you will see a confirmation that the verification is complete.
By following these steps, you will complete the Facial Verification alert.
Only what is displayed within the oval is captured and uploaded. This is true for facial enrollments, sobriety tests, and facial verifications.

If an enrollee is experiencing the front-facing camera freezing when trying to complete a facial verification, have the enrollee check for the following in their phone's settings:
Steps to Change Display Zoom Mode:
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Scroll down and tap Display & Brightness.
- Tap Display Zoom
- Check the mode selected.
- If “Larger Text” is selected, change to “Default” mode.
