Assigning/Activating the ShadoWatch Hardware

Assign Hardware to an Enrollee

  1. On the enrollee profile, select the Services>Device tab
  2. Select the Actions button>Assign Device
  3. Next, search by the Hardware ID number of the device you would like to assign to the enrollee, double click to assign
  4. The device will automatically become active as soon as it is assigned to the enrollee


Confirming the Hardware Activated Properly

  1. Once the device is activated, check the Device Communication section to confirm the following is current. This information may take a few minutes before it updates after the device is activated:
    1. Activation date/time - Time the device was activated
    2. Last Location - Time of the last location received from the device
    3. Last Comm - Time the device last communicated
  2. You should also check the enrollee History>Locations tab to ensure the first GPS location point was plotted
  3. You may need to bring the device outside to obtain a GPS point
Please note we do not recommend allowing the enrollee to leave until you have confirmed the above information. The time displayed on the face of the ShadoWatch may take a few minutes to update after the watch starts communicating.
