Please ensure you have all the necessary items listed below before beginning the installation process. Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance and comfort of the ShadoWatch.
Items Needed for Installation
Before starting, ensure you have the following items:
Wristband (x1)
ShadoWatch Face
Screws (x4)
Screw Covers (x2)
Torque Screwdriver (Clicking sound once the screws are fully tightened)
Cutting Tool
Loctite
Shadowtrack will send all watches with the screws already installed. Shadowtrack applies Loctite before installing the screws. We apply a small dab of Loctite on all four sides of the watch where the screws are inserted. This will ensure a secure and durable hold.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Attaching the Band
Prepare the Band and Watch Face: Identify the side of the band without scored lines; this is the side that will attach to the watch face first. The scored lines indicate where you can cut the band, so keep that side free.
Ensure the side of the band with continuous holes faces towards the skin.
Attach the Band: Use the torque screwdriver and the provided screws to secure the band to the watch face.
Step 2: Measuring the Band Length
Wrap the Band Around The Wrist:With one side of the band already attached, wrap the band around the wrist to gauge the desired length. Ensure it fits comfortably, not too tight or too loose.
Mark the Excess: Once you've determined the necessary length, mark the excess portion of the band that will need to be removed.
Step 3: Cutting Off the Excess Band
Cut the Band: Use the cutting tool to remove the excess band.
Be sure to cut cleanly and as straight as possible on the scored line.
Step 4: Securing the Band
Attach the Other End: Position the watch on the wrist and secure the unattached end of the band to the other side of the watch face using the remaining screws.
Ensure all screws are tightened until the clicking sound is heard.
Step 5: Applying Screw Covers
Attach Screw Covers: Place the screw covers over the screws on both sides of the watch.
The screw covers also serve as a visible tamper.
Important Considerations
Orientation: Ensure the side of the band with continuous holes faces towards the skin.
Screen Direction: Verify the watch screen is facing the correct direction. Turn on the screen to ensure it aligns correctly with the wearer's viewpoint.
Reboot After Activation: After completing the installation and ensuring everything is securely in place, reboot the ShadoWatch.
