Two Factor Authentication
Two Factor Authentication is a security measure that requires two forms of identification to log in to your account. This can provide an extra layer of security, protecting unauthorized access to sensitive information. This can be configured for users in the ShadowtrackONE platform.
Enabling Two Factor Authentication
This setting must first be enabled within the Entity settings.
- Navigate to the "Settings" tab within the entity's profile page
- Select "Security Settings"
- Enable "2-Factor Authentication" by toggling the slider to the right
Enabling Two Factor Authentication in the User Profile
- Navigate to the user profile
- Select the "Profile" tab
- In the section labeled "2-Factor Authentication" select "Yes" under "Enabled"
- Choose either "SMS" or "Email" under "2-Factor Method"
Upon next login, you will be prompted to enter a code. This will be delivered based on the 2-Factor method selected within the user's profile.
By selecting the "Trusted Device" slider, your device will be considered "trusted" and will not require 2-Factor authentication for 30 days.
The "Last 2-Factor Login" date will be displayed within the user's profile page.

A phone number must be listed in the user's profile to implement SMS 2-Factor method, and an email must be listed to implement email 2-Factor method.
