Dual Factor Location Verification (DFLV)

Dual Factor Location Verification (DFLV)

Dual Factor Location Verification pairs between the EnrolleeApp and the assigned hardware device, monitoring Significant Movement through the EnrolleeApp. When this mode is enabled, a floating zone is created around the enrollee's phone, sending location requests and updating the zone every 50 meters of movement. When the EnrolleeApp and the assigned hardware device are detected to be out of proximity of each other, an "Outside Inclusion Zone "alarm is triggered.

How It Works

  • When this mode is enabled, the app will:
    • Monitor for Significant Movement.
    • Trigger a Location Request every time the EnrolleeApp moves more than 50 meters.
This feature effectively creates a "floating zone" around the enrollee’s phone, allowing for:
  • Ensuring that the hardware device and mobile app are together at all times.
  • Improve location accuracy and accountability without needing fixed zones or check-ins.

To Enable DFLV for an Enrollee

This setting is only visible if the enrollee has hardware assigned. To enable this solution for an enrollee who is assigned to hardware and utilizing the EnrolleeApp, follow the steps below:
  1. Navigate to the enrollee's profile and select the "Services" tab
  2. Select "Settings" > "Edit"
  3. At the bottom right of the page, there is a section labeled "DFLV (Dual Factor Location Verification)"
  4. Select "Yes" in the DFLV section and then select "Save" at the bottom left of the page
  5. Once this setting has been enabled, the enrollee will need to log out of the app and back in, in order for the floating zone to engage
In the event that the EnrolleeApp and the hardware device are no longer detected in proximity of each other, an Outside Inclusion Zone Floating Zone alarm will be triggered.

Notes
This solution is compatible with iOS and Android devices.
