It is essential to clean and maintain the ShadowCuff between each use to ensure the fiber optic cables continue to function properly. Both the fiber optic pins as well as the locking mechanism need to be cleaned between uses.

Cleaning the ShadowCuff, Officer Key, and Portable Charger

  1. Use alcohol wipes to clean the exterior casing of the ShadowCuff
  2. Use alcohol wipes, cotton swabs, and/or compressed air to clean both the fiber optic pins and the locking mechanism, and ensure no dirt or debris is detected
  3. Officer Keys and Portable Chargers can be wiped down with alcohol wipes, ensuring that the connection pins are clean and free of dirt and debris

Comfort Element

  1. Machine wash the Comfort Element in cold water, avoiding detergent that contains bleach
  2. Tumble Dry the Comfort Element on Low, being sure to adhere the velcro straps together before drying
