ShadowPersistent: Persistent Locations Set-Up
What is Persistent Locations
ShadowPersistent captures real-time locations when an enrollee enters or exits a designated zone. This allows users to associate a curfew schedule for an inclusion zone, ensuring the enrollee's location is captured upon entering and exiting that zone during curfew. Exclusion zones can also be configured without a designated schedule, ensuring that a breach will capture entry and exit at any time.

The enrollee must be logged into the enrollee app to utilize the persistent locations feature
Properly Using Persistent Locations
To properly use this feature, please ensure the following is set up by following the instructions noted in the sections below:
- The persistent locations setting is enabled for the enrollee
- A circle zone has been created for the enrollee
- A curfew schedule has been created for the enrollee
Enable Persistent Locations for an Enrollee
Go to the enrollee profile
- Click on "Services"
- Click on "Settings"
- Click "Yes"
- The radius is defaulted to 328 ft or 100 m.
- You can also "enable" or "disable" facial recognition when an enter or exit zone is triggered. It is recommended to "disable" facial recognition as it will alert the enrollee to take a photo each time the zone is entered/exited. This can compromise the integrity of the solution, as enrollees may become privy after receiving alerts and leave the device behind.
- "Enable Shared Exclusion Zones" can be selected to associate the enrollee with pre-designated exclusion zones. These can be created at the entity level and designated to specific enrollees who fit that need. (Ex) Schools, public parks, skating rinks, etc can all have exclusion zones created around them, and assigned to enrollees who may be restricted from interacting with minors.
- Select "Save"

By enabling both Persistent Locations and Shared Exclusion Zones, locations will be received upon the enrollee entering and exiting all assigned zones. Having Persistent Locations turned OFF and Shared Exclusion Zones turned ON will only receive locations within that exclusion zone if the enrollee receives an interaction within the EnrolleeApp. (Push notifications, calls, messages etc. during the duration of the exclusion zone breach)

All persistent location violations are logged within the enrollee's compliance under the "History" tab and "Compliance" sub-tab. They are call type labeled to read "Inclusion/Exclusion" as well as "Enter/Exit".
Create an Inclusion Zone
You must create a zone for the enrollee. This zone will coordinate with the schedule to trigger alerts when the enrollee enters and exits this area. To learn more about how to create zones please refer to the article
here.
Create a curfew schedule.
A Curfew Outbound schedule must be created and associated with the inclusion zone in order to triggers alerts. To learn more about how to create curfew schedules please refer to the article
here.
Once all of the above steps have been implemented, Persistent Locations is active for the enrollee, and alerts of entry/exit will be captured. An officer can view a log of these non-compliance alerts within the enrollee's profile under "History" > "Complaince" tab. A user can configure their notification settings within their user profile under "Settings" to receive compliance emails. The delivery schedule and other options to include compliance reports and other features can be done here.
