Protocol Mail Merge Fields

When setting up Protocol Groups for GPS devices, you can include Mail Merge Fields for Email, SMS, and Call with Delivery Confirmation notifications. These Mail Merge Fields will automatically populate information when an alarm notification is sent.

Mail Merge Fields

  1. _AlarmType_ : When a notification is sent out, the alarm type will be listed within the notification. (Ex. Within Exclusion Zone, Band Tamper etc)
  2. _EnrolleeName_ : The enrollee's name will be listed within the notification. This will appear as last name, first name.
  3. _EnrolleeLink_ : A link to the enrollee's profile can be clicked, and the enrollees profile will open within the ShadowtrackONE platform or Mobile Application.
  4. _TenantName_ : This will list the entity that the enrollee belongs to.
  5. _ProtocolGroupName_ : The name of the Protocol Group is listed here.
  6. _LastLocation_ : Last location will display an address, and when the link is selected, the user is taken to a map with a location pin. This feature must be turned on by a Sysadmin and must be requested through support@shadowtrack.com for approval. If approved, this feature will not retroactive and will not provide addresses for locations prior to being enabled.
  7. _Zone_ : In the event of a zone violation, the name of the zone will be listed in this field. 
  8. _Date/Time_ : The date/time of the alarm trigger is listed in this field.
  9. _BatteryPercentage_ : The battery percentage of the device at the time of the alarm trigger is listed here. 
  10. _AssignedUser_ : The user(s) assigned to the enrollee will be listed by name in this field. 
  11. _PhoneNumber_ : The enrollee's phone number will be listed in a clickable link to directly dial the enrollee. (This number must be entered into the Basic Information section of the enrollee's profile)
These Mail Merge Fields are configurable for email, SMS and Call with Delivery Confirmation notifications. These can be added and removed by editing the protocol. To apply any of these Mail Merge Fields to an alarm step or clear step, copy the field and paste it within the text field. You will want to label each field and be sure to include spaces between each entry. You can refer to the Mail Merge Fields that are defaulted to see how this should be entered into the text field.
