How to Read the Signal Strength After a Device Com Timeout

How to Read the Signal Strength After a Device Com Timeout

An additional button is a location in the enrollee's profile to explain why there was a Device Com Timeout, Device Com Timeout Escaladed, No Location, or No Location Escalated. Often these alarms are triggered due to a poor service area. 
Please follow these steps before contacting Support@shadowtrack.com with questions regarding a defective device.

Data Graph Bars Icon

To determine if the alarm was triggered due to poor service, go to the enrollee's profile.
  1. Click the History tab
  2. Click the Alarms tab
  3. Click the Event History tab
  4. Click the data graph bars icon as shown.

Signal Service and Location Points

Once clicked on the data graph bars icon, there will be details about the alarm.
  1. Status
  2. Created: (Start time)
  3. Resolution: (End time)
"Created" date and times are created 1 hour after it is recorded and 2 hours for escalated alarms.

To the right of the window, click on Show All Locations.
This lists all locations or "points" while the connection was poor and the device was not able to communicate.  This information can be viewed when the service connection is reestablished allowing communication between the device and the application. 
If the signal strength number is 20-45 this is a good signal strength. Any high numbers are recorded as a poor signal strength for that area. 

No Information Found

If no information is provided or poor service was not established as the result of the alarm, please submit a support ticket or email  Support@shadowtrack.com
