Create a Curfew Schedule in the Application

Types of Curfew Schedules

A Curfew Schedule indicates either:
  • When an Enrollee needs to check into the EnrolleeAPP to verify their identity and location.

As such, there are two types of Curfew Schedules: Curfew Outbound and Curfew Inbound.

When creating a curfew schedule, if the Start Date/Time has already passed for the current day, or if the enrollee is not yet active in the platform, the following message will appear: "Please note that the enrollee's schedule will not begin until tomorrow, as the start time for today has already passed. If you wish to schedule a call for today, please create a one-time schedule."

Curfew for Different Phone Types

  1. Mobile
    1. Enrollees with a smartphone
    2. The enrollee receives a push notification via the EnrolleeApp when it is time to complete a random alert
  2. Landline/Mobile Without App
    1. Enrollees with a phone that cannot download apps
    2. The enrollee receives a random phone call on their landline or non-smart mobile phone
When creating a schedule for EnrolleeApp the "Mobile Service" has been defaulted to "Facial Recognition".

Curfew Outbound Schedule

A Curfew Outbound Schedule indicates when an Enrollee will receive a notification from Shadowtrack to complete a verification alert or call. To create a Curfew Outbound Schedule, follow the steps below:
The times displayed on the calendar within the Schedule tab are determined by the time-zone set on the user’s computer, not the time-zone specified in their platform profile.

  • Select the Schedule tab
  • All scheduling options will be displayed to the right of the calendar. Select the Curfew tab and then select the + Schedule button. Select Curfew Outbound.
  • Alternatively, double-click the determined curfew day in the calendar. Select New Curfew Outbound.
  • Fill in the information with the areas provided.
A User can select a Template from the dropdown menu at the top of the page. Select apply once a template has been chosen. Please keep in mind, that templates must be created at the Entity level to utilize this feature.
  • Mobile Service indicates the type of verification or action required of the Enrollee when receiving a notification related to the schedule. This field is available for Enrollees whose phone numbers are Mobile with App.

The options are as follows:

  • Sobriety check – Shadowtrack will send random alerts to notify the enrollee that an “Alcohol Test is Required”.
  • Location Request—Shadowtrack will silently locate the phone or device to verify that the Enrollee is at a designated location.
  • Facial Recognition – Shadowtrack will request the Enrollee to complete a Facial Recognition once the alert is received.
  • Voice Verification – Shadowtrack will request the Enrollee to complete a Voice Verification once the alert is received.
  • Finger Print (Android Only) - Shadowtrack will send random alerts to to complete fingerprint verification
    • The Phone Number dropdown menu allows the User to select which phone number is associated with the Enrollee’s schedule. This field is only d for Enrollees whose phone numbers are Landline or Mobile without App.
    • The Time Zone will automatically default to the Time Zone associated with the Enrollee’s address; however, the User can change the schedule’s Time Zone using the dropdown option.
    • Zone- select the appropriate zone to indicate where the Enrollee needs to be located when completing the Outbound Curfew Schedule. This field is available for Enrollees whose phone numbers are Mobile with App.
    • Schedule Start Date indicates the first day of the schedule being created.
    • Period Start indicates the time the schedule will begin on the Start Date.
    • Period End indicates the time the schedule will end on the Start Date.
    • First Window Start displays the schedule’s start day and time in the time zone of the Enrollee. This is the beginning of the first window in which the Enrollee will begin receiving notifications related to the schedule.
    • First Window End displays the schedule’s start day and time in the time zone of the Enrollee. This is the end of the first window in which the Enrollee will begin receiving notifications related to the schedule.
    • Enable Quiet Time – by selecting this field, the User will be required to indicate a time frame in which an Enrollee will not receive notifications.
    • Send Silent Location Request, one silent location request will be sent during the scheduled Quiet Time to the Enrollee to document the Enrollee’s location without sending a notification to the Enrollee. This is not available for landline enrollees not using the mobile app.
If the enrollee has logged out of the EnrolleeApp and the device token has been removed, any Facial Verification calls scheduled to occur will be marked as "Non-Compliant Failed to Log In".
The Quiet Period Start and End Time must be within the Schedule’s Period Start and End Time.
Regardless of the zone selected for the schedule, if an Enrollee is located within an Exclusion Zone assigned to their profile, this will trigger a non-compliance response. Compliance data and reports will show Silent Location Requests during Quiet times.

Scheduling Type

Fixed Pattern
  1.  The Enrollee will receive the designated number of calls routinely during the indicated

    Recurrences
This is the most commonly used option for an Enrollee with a busy schedule.
    1. Recurrence indicates the frequency in which the curfew Outbound Schedule will be repeated.
    2. If scheduling an Outbound Call to repeat until the end of monitoring, under ENDS, select NEVER
    3. Randomly Scheduled: Enrollees will receive calls randomly during the designated periods.
      1. Under Period Type, select either Weekly or Monthly. When setting up a Weekly period, set the Schedule Start Date on a Sunday. When setting up a Monthly period, please set the Schedule Start Date on the first day of the month.
      2. Periods Per Recurrence – Indicates the frequency in which the Outbound Schedule will be repeated during the specified Period Type time selected.
      3. Number of Days to Select Per Recurrence—The number of days in the week or month during which the Enrollee will receive an outbound call.
      4. Applicable Days of the Week – Select which days the Enrollee can receive a random outbound call. Options include Monday through Sunday. If Select All is chosen, the system will randomly select the number of days as designated in the Number of Days to Select Per Recurrence field. For example, if Select All is chosen, and three days are designated for the Number of Days to Select Per Recurrence, the system will randomly select three days of the week to place an outbound call.
      5. End Date – Specify the End Date of the schedule.
      6. Minimum Calls Per Day and Maximum Calls Per Day – The Enrollee will receive a random number of calls between the designated Minimum and Maximum Calls Per Day. It is highly suggested that two different numbers be chosen to ensure the call schedule/number of calls remains random and the enrollee does not memorize the call schedule. For example, Suppose the Enrollee learns and memorizes that they will receive two calls (2 calls Minimum and two calls Maximum), after receiving two calls. In that case, the Enrollee may leave their required location and not adhere to the schedule.
        • Once all fields have been completed, select the Save Schedule button.
        • All Curfew Schedules are displayed within the Enrollee’s Profile Page under the Schedule > Curfew tab.

Curfew Inbound Schedule

A Curfew Inbound Schedule indicates when an Enrollee needs to check in via the Enrollee app or a landline phone to verify their location. This may be useful if an Enrollee needs to confirm when they arrive at work or another designated location. To create a Curfew Inbound Schedule, follow the steps below.
  1. Select the Schedule tab from the menu at the top of the page.
  2. All scheduling options will be displayed to the right of the calendar. Select the Curfew tab and then select the + Schedule button. Select Curfew Inbound.
  3. Alternatively, double-click the determined curfew day in the calendar. Select New Curfew Inbound.
  4. Select the Mobile Service dropdown and select the verification type. If the enrollee is on Landline or Mobile Without App, this dropdown will not be seen. This is only available for EnrolleeApp enrollees. Sobriety and Facial Inbound Schedules can now be configured. Refer to the article here to enable Sobriety Inbound in the enrollee's service settings.
  5. The Time Zone will automatically default to the Time Zone associated with the Enrollee’s address; however, the User can change the schedule’s Time Zone using the dropdown option.
  6. Zone (Mobile App Only)—Select the appropriate Zone to indicate where the Enrollee needs to be located when completing the Inbound Curfew Schedule. Zones must be created prior to creating a schedule. This field is available for Enrollees whose phone numbers are Mobile with the App.
  7. Schedule Start Date indicates the first day of the schedule being created.
  8. Period Start indicates the time the schedule will begin on the Start Date
  9. Period End indicates when the schedule ends on the Start Date.
  10. Allow Calls from Any Phone Number: if Yes is selected, an Enrollee can complete their Inbound Curfew call by calling the ShadowtrackONE system using any phone number, not just the phone number associated with the Enrollee profile.
  11. Inbounds Required indicates the number of check-ins the Enrollee must complete during the Period Start and End Time indicated.
    1. The assigned user will be notified if the enrollee does not check in the required number of times
  1. Recurrence – Indicates the frequency in which the Curfew Inbound Schedule will be repeated. Options include Never, Daily, Every Weekday ( Monday – Friday ), Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, Every Tuesday and Thursday, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly
  2. Repeats Every indicates the frequency of the Recurrence indicated. For example, if Recurrence is set to daily and Repeats Every is set to 2 days, the Enrollee must complete their Curfew Inbound Schedule every two days (every other day).
  3. If only scheduling an Inbound Call for one day, select Recurrence: Never, and the End: On date must equal the First Window End Date above.
  4. If scheduling an Inbound Call to repeat until the end of monitoring, under ENDS, select NEVER
  5. Once all fields have been completed, select the Save Schedule button.
All Inbound Verification calls will expire after 10 minutes. If the call is not completed within the 10-minute time frame, the call will be marked as "Non-Compliant/Request Expired".
Voice and Facial Verifications can be performed through the EnrolleeApp without an Outbound call, even if an Inbound schedule is not assigned for the enrollee. These calls will be listed within the enrollee's compliance tab and labeled as "Inbound Unscheduled".

If an unscheduled call takes place outside of curfew hours, a location will be obtained but not compared to any schedule zones.

Drag-and-Drop Scheduling

Users can intuitively create schedules by drag-and-drop, allowing the user to visualize the time frame on the calendar while creating schedules.
  1. Open the schedule calendar by either day or week view
  2. Choose a start time – Click on the time slot where you want the event to begin.
  3. Drag to select the end time – Hold your mouse button and drag down to cover the time range.
    1.  If the end time crosses over into the following day, simply slide the mouse over to the next day’s column and keep dragging until the desired end time.
  4. Release the mouse – The time block is now scheduled.
  5. You will now select the schedule type, mobile service, recurrence and min/max amount of calls.
  6. Select "Save".

Permanent or Temporary Changes to a Schedule with a Different Time Zone

The user must change the enrollee's profile time zone when an address or schedule change is made to ensure the alerts are sent in the correct time zone.
For all temporary changes, the user must change the enrollee's profile to the correct "home" time zone in the profile account.

The following steps make profile zone updates:
  1. Profile tab
  2. Basic Information tab
  3. Edit
  4. Select Correct Time Zone
  5. Save
Schedule Time Zone is located in the schedule as shown below.
