Determining Time Zones in the Application
Determining Time Zones in the Application
Understanding which time zone you are viewing is crucial for accurate scheduling and interaction within the application. Here’s how you can determine if you are viewing data in the logged-in user’s time zone or the enrollee’s time zone.
User Time Zone
- User Profile: The time zone for the logged-in user is set within their profile. This setting determines how you see enrollee data in the application.
Enrollee Time Zone
- Enrollee Profile: The time zone for each enrollee is specified in their profile. This setting dictates the date and time of all interactions with the enrollee.
Example Scenario
- If you are a user located in Central Time (CT) and the enrollee is in Eastern Time (ET), scheduling a notification for the enrollee will reflect their time zone.
- User's Time: 10:00 AM CT
- Enrollee's Time: 11:00 AM ET
- The notification time will be set to 11:00 AM to align with the enrollee's Eastern Time zone.
Displaying Time Zones
- Fields Based on Enrollee's Time Zone: Certain fields will show data according to the enrollee's time zone. These fields will indicate the time zone, such as "CDT" for Central Daylight Time.
- Fields Based on User's Time Zone: Other fields will display data in the logged-in user’s time zone. In these cases, the time zone will not be listed, implying it matches the user's time zone.
Time Zone Indicators
- Enrollee's Time Zone: If the time is shown in the enrollee’s time zone, it will be marked with the appropriate time zone abbreviation (e.g., CDT, ET).
- User's Time Zone: If the time zone is not listed, you are viewing the time in the logged-in user’s time zone.
By understanding these distinctions, you can ensure that all scheduling and interactions are accurately aligned with the appropriate time zones for both users and enrollees.
