The ShadoWatch is water, splash, and dust resistant. It has been rigorously tested under controlled laboratory conditions and has an IP68 rating under IEC standard 60529. This rating signifies that the ShadoWatch can survive up to 30 minutes submerged at a depth of 1.5 meters in clean water. However, it's crucial to understand that this waterproof feature is not permanent. Over time, the watch's resistance may decrease due to normal wear.

The portable charging block provided with the ShadoWatch is not waterproof.

Do's and Don'ts to Prevent Water Damage

To maintain your ShadoWatch's integrity and functionality, heed the following advice:

Avoid the Following:

• Charging or Pressing Buttons When Wet: Ensure the watch is dry before charging or interacting with the buttons to prevent internal water damage.

• Swimming or Bathing in Warm Water: Avoid wearing the watch in warm water environments like hot tubs or baths, as high temperatures can compromise its water resistance.

• Exposure to High-Velocity Water: Activities that expose the watch to pressurized or high-velocity water, such as showering, surfing, or jet skiing, can force water into the watch beyond its resistance capacity.

• Using in Saunas or Steam Rooms: The extreme heat and moisture in saunas or steam rooms can damage the watch's seals and reduce its water resistance.

• Operating Outside Recommended Conditions: Avoid using the ShadoWatch in extremely humid conditions or outside the suggested temperature ranges.

• Impacts and Drops: Dropping the watch or subjecting it to impacts can damage its water resistance integrity.

• Disassembling the Watch: Never attempt to disassemble the watch, including removing the housing unit screws, as this can permanently compromise its water resistance.
  

Minimize Exposure to Harmful Substances:

It's also advisable to limit the ShadoWatch's exposure to substances that could potentially harm its components, including:

• Soap, detergent, and acids
• Acidic foods

Cleaning the ShadoWatch

1. The recommended cleaning product to clean the hardware is a product called Scrubbing Bubbles All Purpose Cleaner
   
2. We recommend using a toothbrush to scrub the hardware
   
3. While cleaning, it is okay to rinse the device off but please be mindful not to completely submerge the hardware in standing water for more than a few minutes
