EnrolleeApp Restrictions Information
Within the enrollee's profile, there is a list of information about the enrollee's phone. This includes phone type and operating system, as well as a list of restrictions.
EnrolleeApp Info
Navigate to the enrollee's profile
Select "Profile" > "Phone Service" > "EnrolleeApp Info"
You will see a list of information relative to the phone that the enrollee is using the EnrolleeApp with:
Type - this section indicates whether the enrollee is using an Android or iOS phone
OS Version - this is the current operating system the phone is running
EnrolleeApp Version - this is the enrolleeapp version downloaded to the enrollee's device
Phone Restrictions
The below restrictions will show the user what permissions the enrollee has enabled/disabled/allowed/restricted for the EnrolleeApp. These are displayed for both Android and iOS enrollees.
- Precise Location - Allows the app to pinpoint exact location
- Location Service - Allows the app to retrieve location
- Physical Activity - Allows the app to receive information from the device's sensors for more accurate GPS data
Low Data Mode - When enabled, low data mode can limit automatic updates and background data syncing
- Background App Refresh - Allows the app to check for updates and new information while running in the background
- If Background App Refresh is enabled but locked, follow the steps below to unlock this setting
- It is important to ensure that Background App Refresh within the device is set to WiFi & Cellular Data. To configure Background App Refresh for WiFi & Cellular Data follow these steps.
Settings > General > Background App Refresh > Background App Refresh > WiFi & Cellular Data
- WiFi - When "On", allows the device to connect to WiFi networks and devices
- Bluetooth - Allows the app to connect to Bluetooth devices. This is used for the BACtrack sobriety device
- Cellular Data - Allows the app to use the device's mobile network
- VPN Connected - Determines whether or not the device is connected to a VPN. If a VPN is connected, location data could be inaccurate
Checks have been added to the API communication for improved accuracy. When the location is retrieved, battery percentage, WiFi status, VPN status, and SSID information is sent to the platform, increasing the location accuracy. This additional information is only viewable by Sysadmin users.
If no restrictions are listed within the enrollee's EnrolleeApp tab, the enrollee is using an outdated version of the EnrolleeApp.
