The ShadowAlertness Dashboard is used to display information that pertains to officer check-in's while on inmate transport. Hospital information, officer locations, and other data can be viewed from this dashboard using the Dashboard Metrics.
Metrics:
- On Transportation - displays the number of officers on transport (logged into ShadowAlertness)
- When clicked, this metric will display the inmate's image, officer name/info and entity. Officer names are hyperlinked, and when clicked, will open the officer profile in a new browser tab.
- Not on Transportation - displays the number of officers not logged in and not on transport
- When clicked, this metric will display the officer name/info and entity. Officer names are hyperlinked, and when clicked, will open the officer profile in a new browser tab.
- Total Phones Active - displays the number of active phones (active officer profiles)
- When clicked, this metric will display the officer names/info and entity
- Total Phones Inactive - displays the number of inactive phones (inactive officer profiles)
- When clicked, this metric will display the officer names/info and entity
- Completed Transportations - displays the number of completed inmate transports (logged out of ShadowAlertness)
- When clicked, this metric will display the officer name/info, entity, completion date/time and time to complete (hours and minutes)
The Data Set filter allows the user to choose from the following:
- Only Logged In Phones - displays only officers currently logged into ShadowAlertness and on transport
- Last 12 Hours - displays all data retrieved in the last 12 hours
- Select a dataset -

All metrics in this dashboard can be filtered by name and entity by simply typing into the text fields above the columns.
Breakdown by Color Stage
The Breakdown by Color Stage displays bar graphs of each color stage of the check-in process. To learn more about the color stages of ShadowAlertness, refer to the article
here. When clicking on a bar, the following data will display:
- Inmate's Image
- Officer's name/information
- Entity
By clicking on the colored squares to the right of the graph, the associated bar can be removed or re-added to the overall breakdown.

An inmate photo can be expanded by clicking the image anywhere an inmate image is displayed.
Historical Data:
The Historical Data displays bar graphs that display information of each escalation level from the last 12 hours. To learn more about the escalation levels of ShadowAlertness, refer to the article
here. When clicking on a bar, the following data will display:
- Officer's name/information
- Entity
- Date/Time sent
- Message (displays on for login/logout graph)
By clicking on the colored squares to the right of the graph, the associated bar can be removed or re-added to the overall historical data.
Locations Map:
The locations map displays location points of officers on transport. "Last Locations" is checked by default, and will only display the last location point for officers on transport. When "Last Location" is unselected, the map will display all location points for all login/log outs and all check-ins for each officer. When a location point is selected, a window will appear displaying the following information:
- Inmate image
- Officer name/information
- Lat/Lon
- Date/Time
- Type of interaction: Login/Log out or Check-in
- Color State during check-in
- Hospital Name
- Floor number
- Room number
The Locations Received metric displays the number of locations obtained during the last 12 hours. When the metric is clicked on, the officer's name/information, entity, date/time and lat and lon are displayed.
The Average Transportation Time metric shows the average time based on all completed transports within the last 12 hours. Clicking on the metric will display officer name/information, entity, completion date/time and time to complete (listed in hours and minutes).
Hospital Admin User Role
A new user role called HospitalAdmin has been added to the ShadowtrackONE platform. This role allows users to monitor officers during inmate hospital transports.
HospitalAdmins can log in and see which officers are checked in at certain hospitals. The hospitals they can view are set up in the platform’s entity settings, and each user can only see check-ins for the hospitals assigned to them. HospitalAdmin users can only access the ShadowAlertness dashboard and the associated metrics. HospitalAdmin will also only see officers checked in to one of the hospitals they are able to view. Upon logging in, the ShadowAlertness dashboard is set as their landing page.
To configure the desired hospitals for HospitalAdmin users, follow the steps below: (TenantAdmin Only)
- Select the Entity profile
- Select "Settings" > "Service Settings" > "ShadowAlertness"
- In the section labeled "Visible Hospitals (Hospital Admin Only)" type in or use the dropdown to select all hospitals you want to be visible for HospitalAdmin users
- Once all hospitals have been added, select "Save"
Hospitals can easily be removed from this list by selecting the "X" beside the hospital name.
HospitalAdmin users will only be able to view the following metrics and associated information when logged into the ShadowtrackONE platform:
- On Transportation metric
- Breakdown by Color Stage graph and underlying data
- Locations Map and all associated information
- Inmate image
- Officer name/information
- Lat/Lon
- Date/Time
- Type of Interaction: Login/Log out or Check-in
- Color stage during check-in
- Hospital name
- Floor number
- Room number
- Locations Received
- Average Transportation time
Officer names are NOT hyperlinked for this user permission as HospitalAdmin do not need to view officer profiles.
